I am pleased to announce that I was awarded the DePaul University Provost’s Award for Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the individual category. The award letter from Valerie Johnson noted,

“The selection committee was impressed by your sustained commitment to building ethnic studies programs and creating structures to support Asian and Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA), and other diverse faculty, staff, and students at DePaul through your teaching, service, and scholarship. Your efforts to organize hundreds of DEI-related art events, as well as three international conferences, two digital humanities projects, an NEA-funded traveling DPAM exhibition, and two academic programs at DePaul are especially noteworthy.”
